Samson uses CV Partner to get full control over their CVs, resumes, and case studies. They went from having individual Word files in a file base and projects in Excel sheets to an automated, searchable database where all consultants and the bid team can collaborate to win more bids and proposals.

Samson’s bid and sales teams were delivering bids to both public and private clients where each bid and proposal required tailoring and highlighting of relevant projects. The project details, such as duration and cost, had to be manually updated. Projects needed to be manually added to CVs or resumes for each bid and the details about the projects needed to be sorted and the correct information displayed on the individual CVs and resumes.
Samson had quality text and key information in the CVs and resumes, as well as projects, but the data was locked in the formatting of each Word document, and was therefore cumbersome to work with. Extracting relevant content for each bid, and tailoring it was both manual and time-consuming.
When researching for tools to solve the challenge, Samson’s Pascale Tabatoni stumbled on CV Partner, and had a demo of the tool. After exploring options and testing CV Partner’s data import and cleaning tools, it became clear that structured data (that was available in any template required for the bidding process) would be a game-changer for the bid team, as well as help all Samson employees update their CVs, resumes, and project data continuously.
Manual formatting of each CV for each bid

The CV Partner Data Import Team made an assessment of the data Samson had submitted as individual Word files.
Using data import tools and feedback from the Samson team, CV Partner extracted unstructured data from the Samson branded Word files and imported it into the structured CV Partner database.
In parallel, the customer names and project names were standardized allowing for the re-use of relevant content in CVs, resumes and case studies. Their bid and sales teams also received training from the CV Partner Customer Success Team, while the users themselves could get started without addittional training.
